Cleanroom Cranes

Cleanroom cranes are a type of lifting equipment specifically designed for material handling within cleanrooms. The cleanroom is a special environment that is highly clean, dust-free, and controlled for sterility levels. In a cleanroom, operations such as material handling, loading, and unloading are required, but standard lifting equipment may introduce contaminants such as dust and bacteria. Therefore, a specially designed cleanroom crane is necessary to prevent contamination.

• High Cleanliness Requirements: Cleanroom cranes must meet the cleanliness standards required for material handling in cleanrooms, preventing contamination of materials by airborne particles and microorganisms.
• Dustproof and Sealed Construction: The structure of cleanroom cranes must have excellent dustproof and sealing capabilities to prevent dust and contaminants from entering the cleanroom.
• Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Prevention: The materials and coatings used for cleanroom cranes need to be treated to prevent electrostatic discharge, avoiding any negative impact on the cleanroom environment and materials.
• Smooth Surface and Easy to Clean: The surface of cleanroom cranes should be smooth and easy to clean, preventing dust and stains from adhering to it.
• Low Vibration and Low Noise: The design of cleanroom cranes should minimize vibration and noise to avoid disturbing the working environment within the cleanroom.

Cleanroom cranes are widely used in cleanrooms across various industries, including semiconductors, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.

Based on cleanliness levels, cleanroom cranes are generally classified into levels such as Class 100, Class 1,000, Class 10,000, and Class 100,000. Class 100 requires the highest level of cleanliness, while Class 100,000 has relatively lower cleanliness requirements.

Note: Cleanliness refers to the degree of particulate (including microorganisms) concentration in clean air.

•  Class 1: Primarily used in the microelectronics industry for manufacturing integrated circuits.
• Class 10: Mainly used in the semiconductor industry for processes with a bandwidth smaller than 2 micrometers.
• Class 100: The most commonly used level, suitable for aseptic manufacturing processes in the pharmaceutical industry and surgical operations.
• Class 1,000: Primarily used for the production of high-quality optical products, as well as for testing and assembling aircraft gyroscopes and high-quality miniature bearings.
• Class 10,000: Used for the assembly of hydraulic or pneumatic equipment, and in some cases, for the food and beverage industry.
• Class 100,000: Applicable in many industrial sectors, such as the manufacturing of optical products, the production of smaller components for large electronic systems, hydraulic or pneumatic systems, and food and beverage production.
